How to deal with homework

Ok so lately I haven't had much homework which is an amazing feeling, but some of you who are reading this aren't as lucky.  I am going to give you guys some tips on how you can balance homework with chores and friends.

Let's start with bigger assignments like an essay or reading a book.  If have one week to write a thousand word essay, aim for two hundred or more words a night.  Trust me it isn't as bad as it seems.  I had to write one thousand words a night, every night for thirty days which turned into my 30,000 word book.  For reading, most books have between three hundred and six hundred words and most teacher give a week or two.  For some people, they like to get it all done the first day, but this can actually be a bad idea depending on how much time the teacher gives you.  It is a better idea to spread out your reading over a few days so that the book will stay fresh in your mind.

Most of you guys have a study hall throughout the day.  Schools give you a study hall for a reason which is to study or do homework, not talk and sleep.  This is where you may want to do your smaller homework assignments such as math homework, worksheets, and smaller reading assignment such as your history chapter or science chapter, and studying for small quizzes.  After you finish all of that, then you can work on your essays, bigger reading assignments, projects, and studying for bigger quizzes and test and exams.

Sometimes sports and chores can take away homework time.  By doing your work during study hall or lunch you can save so much time so you will be able to spend more time doing chores or being with friends.  Just remember to spread your homework so that you don't have everything one night.

Remember to comment if you have anything you want me to talk about :)
